A Roding Valley High School student is competing in the European finals of the European Youth Debate Competition in Berlin. Charlotte Copeman has already successfully competed in the UK final of the competition. The Year 11 student is the youngest competitor to get through to the European final. She has been praised for her extraordinary poise as a speaker.

Katie Collins, Teacher of English and Associate Assistant Headteacher (Teaching and Learning) at Roding Valley High School, said: “This success is even more impressive as it is only the second debate competition that Charlotte has taken part in.
